Special Education

NCMS’s Special Education Department provides instruction, materials and support to students who have been identified as having a disability while providing access to general education curriculum. Special education makes it possible for your child to achieve academic success in the least restrictive environment.We offer a variety of programs:

Resource Specialist Program

Students are mainstreamed to the general education classes and are supported by resource teachers, instructional assistants and psychologist.

Special Day Class Program

Students are placed in a self contained special education class while modifying general education curriculum in order to meet the educational needs of students. Classes consist of more then 50% of the student’s day.
